Healthy Eating Punch Cards

My kids have gotten really picky about their eating lately. They're refusing to try anything new and are begging for a treat after every meal. It was driving me crazy so I created these cards. The first one labeled "Try It, Punch It" is for healthy eating. Whenever they eat something healthy they get one circle punched {or initialed}. When all 10 are filled they get a treat. I'm planning to just stock up on inexpensive dollar store things and other items when I see them on clearance.
The second one is labeled "Earn A Treat". For this one they need to eat 10 healthy foods such as carrots, a salad, broccoli, etc. Once they've received their 10 punches they get a sweet treat.
I'm offering these as a free printable. Please remember that they are for personal use only. If you want to share with others please direct them to this post. There are 8 on each page. The first set are in 4 different colors and the second set are all alike. Just click on each picture to be taken to the download {minus the watermark}

Enjoy,
Denise

Linky Follower Blog Hop

If you haven't heard, Google Follower will no longer be available to non-blog users after 2/29/2012 . . . . and may be phased out entirely. However, there is another option. Many of you are familiar with linky parties and now they have a linky followers list.

It's So Very Cheri started a blog hop to spread the news. A blog hop is a linky list that is SHARED ON MULTIPLE BLOGS. When several blogs put the same linky list code on their blog, the exact same list appears on each blog. Blog visitors can submit their entries on any blog that contains the list. The entries will appear on each blog where the list resides. Blog readers see the same list on each blog, and can "HOP" from blog to blog seeing the same list of links to follow: BLOG HOP!

The rules are simple:

1. you MUST have the LINKY FOLLOWERS tool on your site to participate.

2. You MUST follow the person who has the party on their site as a thank you.

3.Just add your blog button to the LINKY PARTY below.

4.Then grab the BLOG HOP code

If you want to add the BLOG HOP to your own site you will get lots of new followers(see rule #2)

Click on GET THE CODE HERE and enter it into a post on your site.

Then you can start following other bloggers–(as many as you want)–leave each one of the blogs that you follow a comment letting them know you are following them and ask them to follow you back. We all LOVE comments :)

Valentine Cards

Since Valentine's Day is almost here I thought I'd make my first post some card ideas for kids to exchange. The first is the card my son will be handing out. This was not my original idea. You can find the original post here along with the free printable
The next one is what my daughter will be handing out. Again, not my original idea. However, I'm unsure who to give credit to as the originator as there are a ton of them on the internet and pinterest.
I didn't actually make the last idea I'm going to share but it has gotten so many hits on pinterest I decided to include it here. You can find the source here.
Since she just explained how to make the crayon heart I thought I'd include a printable for the card. I have two that you can download for free. One is black and white so you can choose any color cardstock. The second is red and blue. Just click on the picture to be taken to the download.
